All of my eighth graders finally finished their Haring inspired relief prints! We did two regular prints with black ink and then a third where we incorporated a pop of colour with tissue paper.

Japanese Notans
A short project I did this month with middle school and a good way to explore the elements of shape, symmetry and space.
Stellar Still Lifes
I was fortunate to squeeze in a Christmas themed still life assignment right before our break. We did some finishing touches on our first day back this week. I had the students use a mid tone paper and draw with charcoal and chalk for shadows and highlights. They are really well done, I am proud.
